Activities
Whether you are new to the Island, or have been here awhile, our various activities can give you a chance to develop friendships with others who live in Puerto Rico.  The Club sponsors a number of activities that encourage members to connect with each other while having fun.  A great way to do this is by sharing interests and hobbies with each other. Newcomer members are a rich source of support and friendship, and the activities offered are diverse, open to all members, and can ensure that no one needs to feel bored or isolated.

The following activities are currently available to any member of the Newcomers Club.  Keep in mind that new groups can be started according to the interests of the members.

The group determines the book list to be read, and meetings are thought provoking and friendly.   Interested in a little friendly game of chance or any board games? Our group currently meets in Dorado at a member’s home.
Dinner Club   Dorado Doings/East End Doings

    Contact: Patti Wehrs (East End)

Love to eat a great meal, explore new cuisines and meet new people?  Pre-planned menus & recipes with rotating gatherings.   This little island can feel big, so these groups enjoy activities centered around their “back yards.” Whether it’s meeting for lunch or hiking the rain forest, these active groups always welcome folks from any part of the Island.
Golf   Kidz Korner
Contact: Pete Sutfin   Position Open

Improve your game or start anew with golf clinics.  The Newcomer's Club has special pricing at certain area golf courses.   This lively group is such fun for the little ones, and provides a wonderful source of support and friendship for our transplanted Moms. Parties, crafts, storytelling and trips to the parks or beaches are just the beginning.
Mah-Jong   Movie Group
Contact: Maxine Evans   Position Open

This mysterious game of tiles from the Far East is really easy to learn, and so much fun to play. Why not give it a try!   Our film fans meet periodically to enjoy current releases. What could be better than good company, a new movie, popcorn and air conditioning!
Scrapbooking   Small Business Group
Contact: Christine Aberle   Contact: Barbara Pecce

Join others who have a passion for scrapbooking.  Meet new people while working on your book.   We have a very talented array of entrepreneurs who network, and offer sales of their products/services to our membership at some of our functions.
Tennis   Trips-N-Tours
Contact: Lori Diaz   Contact: Albina Vazquez

Still one of the best ways to stay active, and enjoy good company. Beautiful courts abound in Puerto Rico.   Puerto Rico is a constant source of hidden treasures. This fun group visits both the well known and the not-so-well-known attractions in Puerto Rico. Some trips may include lunch and a professional guide.
