Koffee Klatch
Monthly,
informal, drop-in coffee for old, new and prospective members usually
held in a member’s home. Gives newcomers an opportunity to experience
the unique architectural features of homes on the island. Sometimes
hosted in other interesting places like local jewelry stores or art
galleries. Every few months an
orientation morning is held for new members to glean advice from old members,
receive freebees from local businesses and get a general introduction to
life in Puerto Rico.
A
MUST FOR ALL NEWCOMERS!
Trips
and Tours Island-wide
day trips to museums, art galleries, historic sites etc. Past trips have
included hiking in El Yunque Rain Forest, day-sailing on a catamaran out
of Fajardo, kayaking in the Caribbean National forest and touring Los
Tibes Indian Ceremonial Ball Park, Hacienda Buena Vista, Whale Watching
at Rincon Lighthouse and Serralles Castle in Ponce.
Luncheons
Held nearly every month with some form of entertainment, Fashion Show,
Guest Speaker, General Newcomers Meeting etc. An opportunity to
preview the best cuisine San Juan has to offer as the lunches are held
at different venues each month.
